We firmly believe that healthy indulging every once in a while keeps you sane. This traditional family sweet butter bread recipe is quick, indulgent, comforting and just the right way to bid adieu to a long week. Enjoy it in the mornings for breakfast or at evening with a cup of tea.
– 2 bread slices
– 3 tbsp unsalted white butter (homemade, optional)
– 1 ½ tbsp powdered sugar
– A few saffron strands
– Mishri (rock sugar)
– Almond flakes
– Pistachio flakes
Cut bread slices in rounds and keep aside.
Add sugar and saffron to white butter and mix well.
Spread generous amounts of white butter mixture on bread slices.
Sprinkle mishri, almond and pistachio flakes on top.
Tastes best when chilled. Enjoy it with a cup of Darjeeling tea or Green tea.
